Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition officially appears on Mac this week. CD Projekt Red announced that the game will be available on Thursday, July 17th for MacS powered by Apple Silicon via the Mac App Store, Gog.com, Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on Mac follows the debut of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Mac earlier this year.
Apple touted the Cyberpunk 2077 on Macs in 2025, when it announced its lineup of the new M4 MacBook Pro last fall. With today’s announcement, Apple and CD Projekt Red are based on that promise.
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition This is the complete version of an open world action RPG where players control mercenary Vs running in futuristic cities focused on power, technology and body modifications. This edition features Keen Reeves as Johnny Silver Hand and a base game. Phantom Liberty The expansion adds a new storyline with Idris Elba, who portrays Solomon Reed. It also incorporates all major updates, including new photo mode features, additional vehicles and patch 2.3, which introduces various gameplay tweaks, including all major updates released so far.
CyberPunk 2077: Ultimate Edition makes the most of your Mac and Apple Silicon power. The game utilizes Apple’s Metal Graphics Framework to provide “smooth performance, sharp visuals, amazing battery life and seamless gameplay.” It has support for features such as path tracing, frame generation, HDR tuning on Apple’s displays, and built-in spatial audio with AirPods head tracking.
The game is supported on Macs with Apple Silicon with over 16GB of unified memory. These Macs should run MacOS 15.5 for the best experience. However, beyond its unified memory requirements, the CyberPunk 2077 is compatible with Apple Silicon Macs and dates back to the M1 chip that debuted in 2020.
Cyberpunk 2077 on Mac offers individually optimized “this Mac” graphics presets for all Apple silicon Macs. Game controller support and compatibility with Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. According to CD Projekt Red, Mac users can “expect a hardware-optimized and finely tuned experience to bring out the full functionality of your Mac.”
Later this year, Cyberpunk 2077 will take full advantage of the new features announced by Apple at the WWDC25 as part of the Macos Tahoe. This includes Metal 4 features such as Metal FX frame interpolation and MetalFX deformation.
Cyberpunk 2077: In addition to the game’s base configurations on gog.com, Steam, and Epic Games Store, Ultimate Edition is available on the Mac App Store. The game will start on Thursday, July 17th.
