Reolink has finally launched one of the UK’s most ambitious security cameras. The new OMVI 3i WiFi is now available for purchase after the device was first unveiled at CES earlier this year. It features a fairly unusual triple-lens design, built to cover areas that would normally require multiple cameras.
The OMVI 3i WiFi is part of Reolink’s new OMVI series, but it’s the flagship model that stands out, especially as a strong contender for the title of best home security camera. Rather than relying on a single lens or traditional pan and tilt setup, it combines three lenses. The result is both a fixed 180-degree panoramic view and full 360-degree pan and tilt tracking from a single device.
For homeowners, that could mean fewer blind spots and fewer cameras around large yards, driveways, and side entrances. OMVI 3i is designed to monitor large areas rather than stitching together feeds from multiple devices. It also automatically tracks your activity when movement is detected.
Installation is also relatively easy. The camera uses one cable for both power and data, reducing cable clutter. Additionally, you can mount it on the wall, ceiling, or corner depending on where you need coverage.
Like Reolink’s other recent products, OMVI 3i WiFi relies heavily on local AI processing rather than cloud-based analytics. The camera can distinguish between people, vehicles, animals, and general movement on the device. Meanwhile, a companion app allows users to create custom detection zones, virtual perimeters, and loitering alerts to reduce unnecessary notifications.
Storage also remains one of Reolink’s biggest selling points. Unlike many competing security cameras that push users into monthly subscriptions, the OMVI 3i supports local recording to microSD cards up to 512GB. It also works with Reolink NVR, NAS devices, and FTP servers. Cloud storage is also available, but completely optional.
The Reolink OMVI 3i WiFi is available now from Reolink’s online store for £259.99. The two-camera bundle costs £507.99. For a limited time, both versions are 15% off.
