The rumored iPhone 17 Air prefers a futuristic design over a thicker, heavier look with more batteries. But if everyone is just throwing a phone in a case, will the aesthetic be lost? According to this iPhone 17 air case test video, it may not be the case.
Clips shared on social media show the iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 air dummy units side by side. Next, the iPhone 17 air mockup is located inside similar to Apple’s Beats iPhone case version and is designed for thin phones with a wide camera bar design.
At first glance, the air in the iPhone 17 inside the case may appear thinner than the iPhone 17 Pro Max without the case. Of course, we deal with a lot of assumptions here. This is because you are looking at the unreleased iPhone model dummy unit. Still, if Apple delivers hardware that reflects these rumors, the iPhone 17 Air certainly deserves the name “Air.”
The iPhone 17 Air Story went through a slightly realistic check over the weekend, but early testing reported a noticeable decrease in battery life on thinner models.
Therefore, Apple is reportedly reviving its discontinued iPhone battery case as an optional accessory sold along with the iPhone 17 Air. If true, it’s not surprising to see Apple launch the iPhone 17 Air just a few months before it releases its battery case. At the very least, that’s what Apple did for previous versions of the battery case designed for certain iPhone models.
If MagSafe is not an option, you can also use a MagSafe battery to extend the battery life of your iPhone with a MagSafe battery or an external battery pack for less than $20.
Of course, if battery life is a big concern, the best option is probably literally the other iPhone. However, I think the air battery life is still better than that of the iPhone 12 Mini.
