You might want to hold off on buying a HomePod this week

If you’re considering setting up a new HomePod mini or Apple TV, you might want to wait, at least for a while. Bloomberg’s Mark Garman said Apple is preparing to release refreshed versions of both devices.

Garman reports in the Power On newsletter that Apple retail stores are planning an overnight reset on November 11th. Staff will be replacing displays and setting up new products before the doors open the next morning, which Garman suspects will coincide with the launch of the new Apple TV and HomePod mini models.

Both models are expected to be the first to feature Apple’s new Siri and Apple Intelligence features, which will roll out next year. These devices could help reposition Apple as a smart home brand, especially as it eyes further launches in 2026.

So if you’re looking to buy one of the best smart speakers you can buy, it might be wise to hold off, at least for now.
