As we did in previous series, Apple uploaded the full opening scene for Smoke, peeking out potential viewers what to expect from the new crime drama show.
Inspired by the podcast Firebug, Smokestar Taron Egerton (Tetris, Rocketman) is a ghost arson investigator working alongside Detective Michelle Calderon, played by Journey Smollett (Order, Lovecraft Land) to cross a few Cerial Alastons across the Pacific North.
The show stars Greg Kinnear (as good as it gets), John Legoizamo (Menu), and Ashley Gudsen (X-Men: Dark Phoenix).
A TV show that has been turned into a true story and turned into a podcast
Here’s how Apple explains the new series:
“Inspired by the true events, “Smoke” follows arson investigators working with police detectives to set fire to a twisted game of secret and suspicion, as the race to stop the two arsoners. ”
Smoke premiered last week on Apple TV+ with its two-episode debut. New episodes will drop every Friday until August 15th.
