These are November’s best new MacBook deals: Starting at $599

In the era of Apple Silicon, MacBooks are more affordable than ever, with the latest models starting as low as $599. With global tariffs looming, these great deals may end soon. So if you’re looking to buy a new MacBook for whatever reason, now might be one of the best times to buy one.

Apple’s latest macOS Tahoe update also ended support for virtually all Intel Macs (with a few small exceptions). If you want to keep using the latest and greatest Apple software, now is the perfect time to upgrade.

M1 MacBook Air

Since entering the Apple Silicon era, Apple has released four MacBook Airs with M1, M2, M3, and M4 chips. The M1 MacBook Air still sports the familiar wedge design from the Intel era, which many users may prefer.

M1 MacBook Air performance

The M1 MacBook Air is still a great laptop for the price, even though it’s four years old. It boasts surprisingly fast performance thanks to the M1 chip, a beautiful Retina display (though it has thicker bezels than the new MacBook Air), a great keyboard, up to 18 hours of battery life, and doesn’t make noises like a plane taking off when you open it in public.

The M1 MacBook Air is the oldest on this list, so it’s also the cheapest. One thing to note about the M1 MacBook Air is that it’s hard to find new ones with more than 256 GB of storage, so if you need a lot of storage you’ll have to buy a new Air. On the bright side, it’s the only Apple Silicon MacBook available in a proper gold color.

The M1 MacBook Air is available at Walmart for as low as $599 in all three colors: Silver, Space Gray, and Gold.

M3 MacBook Air

In 2022, Apple introduced a redesigned MacBook Air with a thinner design, a larger display with slimmer bezels, and reintroduced MagSafe. In addition to Silver and Space Gray, new Starlight and Midnight colors have also arrived, while Gold has been discontinued. This innovative design was introduced with the M2 chip and has lived on ever since.

15-inch M2 MacBook Air

The M2 MacBook Air is mostly out of stock, and unfortunately the M3 model is about to do the same, but there are still some in stock, especially the 15-inch MacBook Air.

15-inch model with M3 chip:

  • 15-inch MacBook Air with 512GB storage, 24GB memory: $1099 at Amazon ($600 off!)

This MacBook is a great choice if you need more unified memory than most, which is very valuable for multitasking.

M4 MacBook Air

In March, Apple announced a refreshed MacBook Air with the M4 chip. This computer is similar to previous models, except it has a new Center Stage webcam and a new Sky Blue color that replaces Space Gray.

You can currently save at least $100 overall on the latest MacBook Air models. Apple is reportedly working on a new entry-level MacBook with the A18 Pro chip within the next year. But at this price, I’d honestly just buy a MacBook Air and not have to compromise.

13-inch model with M4 chip:

  • 13-inch MacBook Air with 256GB storage, 16GB memory: $749 at Amazon
  • 13-inch MacBook Air with 512GB storage, 16GB memory: $949 at Amazon
  • 13-inch MacBook Air with 512GB storage, 24GB memory: $1149 at Amazon

15-inch model with M4 chip:

  • 15-inch MacBook Air with 256GB storage, 16GB memory: $949 at Amazon
  • 15-inch MacBook Air with 512GB storage, 16GB memory: $1149 at Amazon
  • 15-inch MacBook Air with 512GB storage, 24GB memory: $1349 at Amazon

The MacBook Air M4 is currently on sale at its lowest price ever, making it an incredible deal for the holiday season.

M4 MacBook Pro

Apple redesigned the MacBook Pro in 2021 with a new miniLED display with ProMotion, more ports (especially an HDMI port and an SD card reader), a larger battery and better heat dissipation. It also has a 1080p webcam for the first time.

The MacBook Pro isn’t as affordable as the MacBook Air listed, but there are still some great deals if you want a great display and extra ports. The models listed below are all M4 and M4 Pro chip models, offering the latest and greatest performance and features.

With the launch of the new M5 MacBook Pro, inventory of the baseline M4 model is likely to decrease in the coming months.

16 inch model:

  • M4 Pro MacBook Pro with 512GB storage, 24GB memory: $2199 at Amazon
  • M4 Pro MacBook Pro with 512GB storage, 48GB memory: $2535 on Amazon
  • M4 Max MacBook Pro with 1TB storage, 36GB memory: $3094 at Amazon ($405 off!)
  • M4 Max MacBook Pro with 1TB storage, 48GB memory: $3534 on Amazon

M5 MacBook Pro

Last month, Apple announced a new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M5 chip. However, contrary to tradition, they only released it in the base M5. If you need more power or want a 16-inch model, you’ll need to buy the M4 Pro or M4 Max chip.

M5 is approximately 15% faster overall compared to M4. Compared to M4 Pro, M5 has about 10% slower CPU performance. You could also argue that the M5 is a much better value option than buying the M4 Pro model, as it’s also comparable in GPU performance to the M2 Pro and M3 Pro.

Since the M5 is so new, there aren’t many big price drops, but some models are currently being discounted by $50 to $150.

  • M5 MacBook Pro with 512GB storage, 16GB memory: $1481 at Amazon ($120 off!)
  • M5 MacBook Pro with 1TB storage, 16GB memory: $1652 ($150 off) at Amazon
  • M5 MacBook Pro with 1TB storage, 24GB memory: $1999 at Amazon
