One of my favorite iPhone features is standby. This will turn your iPhone into a smart display when landscape orientation and charging. One of the best ways to make the most of your standby is to use an upright wireless charger.

What is Standby Mode?
The standby feature was introduced in iOS 17 as a new lock screen mode that is active when the iPhone is charging and is placed on its side. It is similar to the Apple Watch Nightstand mode and provides a convenient view of information when the phone is not actively used.
The standby mode is also highly customizable. You can choose to view photos, widgets, various clock designs and more. It features an interactive and customizable photo screen. Here you can view specific themes, such as nature, pets, cities, people, or specific albums from your photo library.

You can manage your options by enabling Standby Mode, accessing the Settings app on your iPhone, and tapping the “Standby” mode menu.

There are three things I really like about Belkin’s 2-in-1 Magsafe wireless charger. First, it features a premium design with a solid base and a modern chrome finish. Third, it’s Magsafe, certified by Apple.

Another highlight is its versatile folding design. It looks like it’s sitting on your desk, but it folds into your own and can also be stuffed into your backpack without any problems. This makes it perfect for hotel nightstand setups and coffee shop charging stations.

Satech Aluminum 2-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand

If you’re looking for something similar to the Belkin 2-in-1 stand, but you have an aluminum design and a lower price range, Satechi has it on. The Satechi Aluminium 2-in-1 magnetic wireless charging stand features an upright iPhone charging stand alongside a QI charging pad integrated into the base.
Two things to keep in mind. First, the maximum wireless charging of the iPhone is 7.5W. This is because it does not support Magsafe. Secondly, since the Sateki is not included in the box, you will need to provide your own 18/20W power adapter.
If these compromises are OK, you can get a Satechi 2-in-1 wireless charger on Amazon. Like Belkin, they also sell the expensive 3-in-1 version with an Apple Watch built in.
Anker 3-in-1 Cube, Magsafe

If there is an award for having the smartest design, a 3-in-1 cube using Anker’s Magsafe will win the award. You can charge your iPhone at 15W, charge your Apple Watch at high speed, and charge your AirPods all with small, potentially foldable cubes.

If you’re looking for an Ultra Premium option for your iPhone standby charger, a friend from Nomad has it covered. The Nomad Stand One features an upright design made of solid metal and glass, and an integrated braided USB-C cable for charging. Magsafe is certified at a charging speed of up to 15W.
With a 21-degree viewing angle, the Nomad Stand One is perfect for standby mode. The biggest drawback here is that it is high end in terms of price and you can only charge an iPhone.
