The next two shows on Apple TV are my most anticipated shows of the fall.

Apple TV is currently airing two new seasons of its biggest hits, Slow Horses and The Morning Show. But in the coming weeks, two new Apple TV series will premiere, two of my most anticipated shows of the fall.

“Down Cemetery Road” (from the author of Slow Horses)

Down Cemetery Road is a new crime thriller based on the novel by Mick Heron.

If this name sounds familiar, it’s because Heron is the author of Apple’s excellent Slow Horses series (the “Slough House” books).

Emma Thompson plays a detective hired to investigate a crime played by Ruth Wilson.

Slow Horses is one of my all-time favorite Apple TV series, and the trailer for this new show seems to follow in the footsteps of its combination of dark comedy and crime mystery. And I stand by that.

“Down Cemetery Road” premiere Wednesday, October 29th The first two episodes will air on the same day as the season finale of Slow Horses. Weekly episode drops will continue until December 10th.

Here’s Apple’s official synopsis and trailer:

When a girl goes missing in the aftermath of a house explosion in a quiet Oxford suburb, her neighbor Sarah Trafford (Ruth Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoe Behm (Emma Thompson). Zoe and Sarah suddenly find themselves embroiled in a complex conspiracy. The plot reveals that people long believed to be dead are still among the living, and that the living are rapidly joining the dead.

“Breaking Bad” author Pluribus

Pluribus is a new “genre-bending” sci-fi drama that, at least in Apple’s marketing, has Severance vibes.

The new series is being created by Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Rhea Seehorn stars in the series, reuniting with Gilligan after her acclaimed role in Better Call Saul.

More hits coming to Apple TV Friday, November 7th The first two episodes will be released weekly thereafter until December 26th

Not much is known about the series other than that a second season has already been confirmed, but Apple’s cryptic marketing has created a lot of anticipation for what’s to come.

Below is a brief synopsis of Apple’s series, followed by a trailer.

The most miserable human being on earth must save the world from happiness.
