Apple TV has become the go-to service for sci-fi fans, with shows like Severance and Pluribus becoming huge hits. Another popular series is the dystopian thriller Silo, which will have its third season released later this year. Here’s everything we know so far about Silo Season 3.
Season 3 expands the story outside of silos
Silo season 2 ended on a bit of a cliffhanger.
While the series so far has been set almost exclusively within underground silos, the season 2 finale shakes things up.
Creator and showrunner Graham Yost acknowledged that this is a sign of things to come.
“Yes, we’re outside, and we’re in the world, and there’s sunshine,” Yost said of season three’s lighter parts.
As anyone who has read all of the Silos series knows, there will definitely be a lot of non-Silo scenes in Season 3.
A new leading actor also joins the cast.
In conjunction with that finale cliffhanger, Silo season 3 will add two new lead actors to the cast.
Ashley Zukerman and Jessica Henwick will be joining the current ensemble in a big way next season, as first seen in the final scene of season 2.
Juliet and the other familiar characters from Silo will still be present, but some new faces will be joining us as well.
There will be a total of 4 seasons and it will be fully greenlit on Apple TV
Silo is based on Hugh Howie’s trilogy, so the show’s creators have a preset template to follow.
The story in Book 1 was split between both Seasons 1 and 2 of the show. It is expected that the TV version will not strictly follow the chronology of Volumes 2 and 3. Instead, the events of both books will intertwine in the upcoming seasons 3 and 4.
Apple TV has already greenlit all four seasons of Silo. The series will conclude when season 4 airs.

When can you watch Silo Season 3 on Apple TV?
Apple TV announced in May 2025 that filming for Season 3 of Silo has officially finished.
Post-production work should take no more than a full year. So, we can expect the premiere of ‘Silo’ season 3 to be released soon. Summer or fall of 2026.
In theory, it could appear sooner, but Silo’s absence from Apple TV’s big media event last week makes that unlikely. But there’s no doubt that 2026 is the plan, as stated in a recent interview with star Rebecca Ferguson.
