Samsung has taken another step towards its “screen everywhere” vision by deploying a new range of smart refrigerators with AI-powered features (NACT) and more screen size options.
The 2025 range includes four-door, four-door French doors and side-by-side models, all with Samsung’s upgraded AI vision and a new display configuration.
A major change to the previous lineup is the addition of a 9-inch AI home screen to certain models.
The 9-inch display, smaller than Samsung’s Behemoth Family Hub display, offers a range of smart features, including food tracking, diet recommendations, and smart home controls.
You can also get the screen Whopper if you like. The lineup also includes 21.5-inch and 32-inch family hub screens.
The upgraded AI Vision Inside System recognizes 37 food types to improve inventory management.
Plus, if you store the same items frequently, the fridge remembers them, making it easy to track what’s inside. It also works with built-in screens to suggest recipes, highlight expiration dates, and make meal planning more seamless.
Samsung announced plans for an ambient smart home earlier this year, with the new Fridge taking part in its involvement and the vision is to hide the Korean company’s smart home hubs from as many devices as possible.
The screen allows you to monitor and control Samsung appliances and third-party devices such as smart plugs and lights directly from the refrigerator.
It also has a new daily board feature that offers real-time updates on schedule, weather and energy usage throughout the day, and voice recognition allows families to receive personalized responses based on their preferences.
Samsung’s 2025 fridge lineup will start at the end of spring with a variety of configurations to suit a variety of kitchen layouts.
Samsung has also removed the cover from the new suite of connected washing machines, so you won’t be surprised to hear about it. It also boasts AI’s Home Smart, Display and Smartthings features.
