Smart Light specialist Philips Hue may be looking to expand its lineup with the launch of its first video doorbell.
There has yet to be an official announcement from the brand owned by The Signify, but the respected Chipstar suggests that Philips Hue’s video doorbell could make its appearance in the market in 2025.
According to Fabian on Hueblog.com, it has a solid track record with Philips Hue Leaks and could be released as early as this fall.
In August 2023, Signify removed the cover of its Philips Hue Secure camera.
Therefore, the addition of video doorbells makes sense as the company continues to build a range of smart home security products.
Although details are still lacking, Fabian suggests that the device has a camera at the top and a bell button with an LED ring below.
Philips Hue’s video doorbells are clearly integrated with the existing Hue ecosystem and provide features such as remote control via the Philips Hue app, as well as connections to other devices for triggered actions.
