Isn’t it your tempo? You can change the speed of your Amazon Alexa speech
It’s not well known, but Amazon allows its voice assistant, Alexa, to adjust how quickly its voice assistant.
The ability to change the speed of Alexa speaking was added to the Voice Assistant System in 2022. For many people, Alexa works better, but I especially want someone who is hard to hear and who wants to speak more slowly.
Amazon also pointed out that blind people and people with low vision are “accustomed to the consumption of audio content and want to be able to listen more quickly.”
Listening to Kindle books using Alexa is also particularly useful.
There are seven different speeds that allow you to speak Alexa. Two are slower than normal speeds, while the other four are faster. This is a way to discuss Alexa at different speeds, whether you want to be faster or slower.
What you need
- Alexa compatible smart speaker
- Alexa App
- Your smartphone or tablet
Short version
- Just tell Alexa to speak slowly “Alexa, speak slowly.”
- To make it speak faster – you guessed it – say “Alexa, speak faster.”
How to talk to Alexa at a different speed
As mentioned above, the easiest way to talk to Alexa at another speed is to use voice commands. Alexa responds “Now, I’ll talk at this rate now.” With these commands, in both cases the command moves Alexa up and down one notch.
If you want to speed/slow even more, you can say the command again. Alternatively, you can adjust the speed of your Alexa app. For more information about this, proceed below. One thing to note is that when Alexa changes the speed of speaking, it simply changes the speed of the specific Echo Smart speaker/Alexa speaker that you gave instructions.
If you want Alexa to return to normal speed, just say “Alexa, talk at normal speed“Or change it in the Alexa app.
