Apple is developing more than 20 products for launch in 2026, including four new iPhone models, one of which is expected to launch soon.
iPhone17e
Apple’s first iPhone launch of the year is rumored to arrive within the next month or two.
This is an iPhone 17e. It is the successor to the iPhone 16e and the final addition to the iPhone 17 family.
The iPhone 17e is rumored to have several upgrades compared to its predecessor, including:
- A19 chip evolved from A18
- Dynamic island instead of a notch
- center stage front camera
- Thinner bezel for a more modern design
- MagSafe support
The main drawbacks compared to the base iPhone 17 are that it only has one rear camera, the display doesn’t include ProMotion or always-on support, and it also doesn’t have camera controls.
But with an expected price tag of $599, the iPhone 17e could be an attractive option for budget-conscious upgraders.
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to launch this fall, possibly in September.

There may not be any dramatic changes to the new iPhone 18 Pro model, but if the success of last year’s 17 Pro is any indication, the next flagship model could also prove to be very popular.
iPhone Fold / iPhone Ultra
After years of rumors, Apple’s first foldable iPhone is finally arriving this fall.
The iPhone Fold (or perhaps the iPhone Ultra) is rumored to cost more than $2,000.
It is expected to resemble the iPhone Air with a very sleek titanium frame. The inner display is approximately 7.6 inches and the outer display is approximately 5.4 inches. It has a book-style folding design and reportedly has zero wrinkles on the screen.
The iPhone Fold may have the largest iPhone battery ever, but it’s unclear whether the new form factor will automatically match the best battery life ever.
The A20 Pro chip in the iPhone 18 Pro will also be foldable. In terms of cameras, there will be two rear cameras and two more front cameras (one for each display).
Finally, Apple is rumored to use Touch ID instead of Face ID due to size constraints and having two separate displays.
2026 iPhone Summary: Will iPhone 18 not be released?
One important model that Apple would normally release is not expected to be released this year.
Base iPhone models typically arrive in the fall, along with Pro models. However, rumors suggest that the base iPhone 18 will be pushed back several months to an early 2027 release window.
That can change at any time. However, the latest reports suggest that Apple plans to ship the high-end iPhone 18 model in fall 2026, followed by the lower-priced base model iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and possibly iPhone Air 2 in spring 2027.
