EcoFlow introduces the Delta 3 Classic Portable Power Station, expanding its backup energy lineup with a compact battery system designed for homes, remote workers, and outdoor users who increasingly rely on portable power during power outages and off-grid situations.
The announcement reflects broader changes in the portable energy market, where battery stations are evolving from camping accessories to everyday home backup tools that support essential electronics and appliances during temporary power grid interruptions.
EcoFlow puts the Delta 3 Classic in the mid-capacity portable power supply category, with a 1024Wh battery and 1800W continuous output, capable of powering home appliances such as refrigerators, laptops, routers, TVs, and small kitchen appliances.
The system can also support higher starting power with 3600W surge output, allowing for short bursts of energy demand when equipment such as electric kettles, coffee makers and power tools require additional power during startup.
Backup power supply designed for everyday electronics
Portable battery stations are increasingly entering the home energy conversation as extreme weather, remote work setups, and increased power concerns encourage homes to have small-scale backup power sources for essential equipment.
EcoFlow equips the Delta 3 Classic with an automatic uninterruptible power supply feature that switches on in approximately 10 milliseconds, ensuring that critical electronics such as desktop computers, routers, and NAS storage systems continue to be powered during sudden power outages.
The system uses lithium iron phosphate battery chemistry, a battery type widely used in electric vehicles, because it prioritizes improved thermal stability, long life, and consistent performance over repeated charging cycles.
The company says this battery system is designed to provide approximately 10 years of reliable operation, reflecting its confidence in the durability expectations associated with lithium iron phosphate batteries.
Fast charging and multiple energy sources
EcoFlow includes multiple charging methods for the Delta 3 Classic, and the power station can charge from a standard wall outlet, solar panel, vehicle charging system, or hybrid generator, depending on the available power source.
AC charging can charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in approximately 45 minutes, while a full charge takes approximately 1 hour using the device’s fast charging mode.
Solar charging supports up to 500W of solar input, and when combined with a compatible solar panel, the battery system will reach full capacity in approximately 2.5 hours under good sunlight conditions.
Meanwhile, the unit weighs about 12.1 kilograms and measures approximately 398 x 200 x 283 millimeters, putting it in the category of portable power supplies that strike a balance between household-level output and portable size.
EcoFlow also includes WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity in addition to mobile app controls, allowing users to monitor power usage, charge schedules, and manage energy output through the EcoFlow companion app.
EcoFlow has not yet confirmed the final UK price for the Delta 3 Classic, but the device is expected to be rolled out in the coming months.
