Britt Lower’s Emmy Acceptance Speech included a sleazy retirement Easter egg (u)

Actress Britt Lower took home one of two statues awarded to her for retirement at the Emmy Awards last night, and her acceptance speech included a delightful little Easter egg. Or did it scream for her Innie’s help? Please see below.

Resignation didn’t win in the best drama, but the cast got some proper nods

Last night, at the Emmy Awards, Apple brought home a total of 25 statues. Most of them went to the hit comedy series The Studio.

Meanwhile, the retirement added six statues that were already won at last week’s Creative Arts Awards.

During her acceptance speech, she held a small piece of paper containing the names of people she didn’t want to forget to thank. But behind the paper was a small note familiar to anyone who saw the show’s first season.

In case you missed it, Tramel Tillman, who plays Mr. Milkyck, won by supporting the actor in the drama. As for the studio, the show took home 13 statues, including the Best Comedy Series.

Tillman’s moving acceptance speech follows one of the biggest cheers of the night, as his name was announced.

update: To celebrate the studio’s multiple victories, Apple set up a sign with the words “Thank you, Sal Saperstein” written in connection with the gag from the show’s first season episode, “The Golden Globes.”

Apple TV+ is available for $12.99 a month, with television shows and movies such as Severance, The Studio, The Morning Show, Shrinking, and Silo becoming a hit.
