Blink expands its smart home security lineup with the introduction of Doorbell 2K+, marking the company’s first wired-only video doorbell alongside an upgraded battery-powered model.
This release brings sharper video, greater range, and more flexibility to Blink’s already budget-focused ecosystem.
The wired version is positioned as a value-oriented option for homes with existing doorbell wiring. Priced at £39.99 / €49.99, it provides constant power and, combined with 2K resolution video, improves clarity in both bright daylight and more challenging low-light conditions. For users who don’t want to worry about battery charging, a wired setup also ensures uninterrupted operation.
In addition to this, Blink also announced the Battery Doorbell 2K+. Price is £59.99 / €69.99 without sync module. Including one, the price is £69.99 / €79.99. This model builds on the previous generation with a series of meaningful upgrades, including the same 2K resolution and improved visibility in a wide range of lighting conditions.
One of the key improvements across both devices is head-to-toe vision. This allows users to see not only visitors at their doorstep, but also packages left on their doorstep. This small but practical change reflects the growing number of people using video doorbells not only for security but also to monitor deliveries.
Both models offer improved performance in bright daylight as well as at night and in shady entrances, making them easier to use in a variety of lighting conditions. Combined with Blink’s existing app ecosystem, users can view live footage, receive motion alerts, and remotely check in on their home.
The introduction of the wired model marks a subtle change for Blink, which has primarily focused on battery-powered devices. The company is broadening its appeal by offering both wired and battery-powered 2K options. It works in a variety of home environments without deviating from its budget-friendly positioning.
With clearer video, a wider frame, and flexible installation options, Blink’s latest doorbell aims to make entry-level home security a little more capable.
