Arlo has begun rolling out Apple Home Integration for its essential second-generation lineup. I’m wondering when the much-anticipated update for iOS users who were staring at the app at home, or Arlo gear will appear.
The new compatibility means you can add Arlo Essential 2K video doorbells, 2K indoor cameras, 2K outdoor XL cameras (all second generation models) and more to your Apple Home app.
Once properly connected, users can view live feeds and screenshots, get motion and audio notifications, and also have direct access to two-way audio in the Apple Home app.

Siri Voice Control is also supported. It also has the ability to view camera feeds on Apple TV.
This has been a historical hit or miss with support for third-party cameras.
Arlo doesn’t offer HomeKit Secure videos yet, but this is still a solid step forward, especially for users who are already invested in the Apple ecosystem.
