Apple’s latest AppleCare+ price increases for Macs and iPads are small on their own, but they make AppleCare One even more valuable. Warranty coverage has become more of a consideration as Apple has increased the price of its Mac and iPad hardware.
AppleCare One price remains unchanged for now
The new standalone AppleCare+ subscription for all current Macs and iPads will increase by 50 cents per month or $5 per year, while existing subscribers will keep the previous price.
Meanwhile, AppleCare One remains unchanged at $19.99 per month for three devices.
Individual monthly coverage for the 13-inch MacBook Air is currently $7.99, the 11-inch iPad Air is $6.99, and the iPhone 17 Pro with Theft and Loss Coverage is $13.99. Together, these plans cost $28.97 per month. AppleCare One covers all three for $19.99, saving you $8.98 per month or $107.76 over 12 months.
Apple discounts individual annual plans, so a fairer annual comparison would be $79.99 for the MacBook Air, $69.99 for the iPad Air, and $139.99 for the iPhone 17 Pro. That’s a total of $289.97, but 12 months of AppleCare One is $239.88, which is still a significant $50.09 difference.
AppleCare One savings are even more dramatic on high-end Macs and iPads.
Monthly AppleCare+ costs $15.99 for a 16-inch MacBook Pro, while insurance for a 13-inch iPad Pro costs $11.99. That’s a total of $27.98, so AppleCare One saves $7.99 per month before the subscriber fills the third device slot.
AppleCare One was launched exactly one year ago
Apple announced AppleCare One on July 23, 2025 and launched it in the US the next day. The basic subscription covers up to three eligible Apple products, and each additional device costs $5.99 per month.
This plan includes the core benefits of AppleCare+. Unlimited accidental damage repair, battery service, 24/7 priority support, and Apple-certified repairs, subject to service fees.
It also includes protection against theft and loss of your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, with a total of up to three claims per year across these devices.
Instead of being limited to the regular AppleCare+ purchase period, you can add eligible products from up to four years ago if you pass Apple’s eligibility checks.
Devices can be moved in or out of the plan, and Apple will automatically replace coverage when eligible products are traded in directly to the company.
AppleCare One isn’t the cheapest in the lineup. For example, a MacBook Air and iPad Air alone cost $14.98 per month as separate plans. However, those who cover three products, or just premium Macs and iPads, will need to run the numbers again.
The increased standalone coverage and the solidity of AppleCare One for now make this bundle one of Apple’s more generous subscriptions.
