After becoming Apple’s most successful theatrical film in history, F1 was expected to be a hit on streaming as well. The film premiered on Apple TV on December 12, following a release on digital, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD.
It’s unclear whether F1 has overtaken all other Apple TV movies these days, but Apple revealed the film’s latest accomplishment today through a post on X.
The video says, “The most-watched movie in Apple TV history.”
Apple’s other biggest movie titles include the sci-fi action hit “The Gorge,” starring Anya Taylor-Joy, and “Wolfs,” starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
F1 was recently nominated for four Academy Awards, including the prestigious Best Picture award. Although it is not expected to win the top award, the nomination itself is a notable achievement for Apple. Creating a crowd-pleasing film that resonates with both audiences and critics is no easy task.
