new Bloomberg reporting Today, we’re taking a closer look at three major new products coming from Apple. Later in 2027, we’ll see a 20th Anniversary iPhone, a second-generation foldable iPhone, and AirPods with a built-in camera.
First, Mark Garman reports that Apple’s camera-equipped AirPods are “scheduled to be released in the second half of 2027.” The product was originally scheduled to be released this year, but was delayed due to Apple Intelligence and Siri delays.
The AirPods, codenamed “B798,” were originally scheduled to be released in 2026, according to people familiar with the matter. The deadline was delayed in part due to Apple’s long struggle with artificial intelligence software. The company also needed to develop a visual AI model that could identify objects in the user’s surroundings.
All product release dates remain fluid and subject to change.
Along with AirPods equipped with a camera, bloomberg Apple is reportedly on track to launch an all-new iPhone lineup.
The highlight of the new iPhone lineup in 2027 will be a 20th anniversary model with a “nearly edge-to-edge display.” This design also features “curved glass that wraps around the sides.”
Garman said the iPhone will be available in two models of “similar size”: the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Apple also plans to launch a second-generation foldable iPhone in the second half of 2027.
The anniversary models, codenamed V73 and V74, will replace the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, which will be released this year, and will debut in similar sizes. Both the anniversary model and the second-generation folding model are powered by a 2-nanometer A21 chip, known as Naxos under the hood.
In 2028, Apple’s high-end iPhones could be equipped with the A22 Pro chip and use new 1.4-nanometer manufacturing technology.
Of course, Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max (featuring the A20 Pro chip) later this year. The standard iPhone 18 will be available in early 2027 (with the base A20 chip).
