Apple made history in 2022 when its film CODA won the Best Picture Oscar. Now, it has been decided that the director’s sequel title “Being Heumann” will be released for Apple TV.

Apple’s film division has a history of highs and lows. In the former category, CODA’s success clearly stands out.
“CODA” won Best Picture at the 2022 Academy Awards along with two other Oscars. And when it did, Apple TV became the first streaming service to win the Oscar for best film.
Now, CODA director Sian Heder is almost ready to debut her sequel title, which has once again been commissioned by Apple.
“Being Heumann” opens in select theaters on November 6th. Coming to Apple TV on November 13th.
Here is a summary of the plot:
Based on a true story. Crude, rebellious, and unable to bear being treated like a burden, Judy Human turns her anger into a revolution. In 1977, she and more than 100 disability rights activists sent a very loud message: “The system is broken, not us.”

“Being Human” joins the recently announced “Tenzing” in being another film expected to compete for an Oscar at next year’s Academy Awards.
These will complement Apple’s other upcoming films, which are more aimed at the masses, such as the pickleball comedy “The Dink,” which opens this week.
