Apple is the first to roll out background security improvements for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. There are four versions of the release.
Improved background security for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS
The four versions currently available are:
- iOS 26.3.1(a)
- iPadOS 26.3.1(a)
- macOS 26.3.1(a)
- macOS 26.3.2(a)
The reason macOS has been released twice is likely because Apple’s new MacBook Neo has a newer version of macOS 26 than all other Macs running macOS Tahoe.
