Apple has been announced as an official partner of this year’s TCS London Marathon ahead of race day next month.
Ten years after developing the Apple Watch as the best running-tracking smartwatch on the market, running and Apple already have a strong connection.
Apple + 2026 London Marathon
The London Marathon kicks off next month on Sunday, April 26th, and this year Apple will play an even bigger role in the race as an official performance technology product partner.
Today’s announcement quotes Apple’s Jay Blahnik.
“The London Marathon is one of the world’s biggest sporting events and a powerful celebration of the global running community,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of fitness technology. “Apple technology supports runners of all levels with powerful tools and insights that help them stay motivated, track their progress, and better understand their health and fitness. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with the 2026 TCS London Marathon.”
The race will take place 11 years and two days after the launch of the original Apple Watch.
Last April, I reflected on my 10 years with the Apple Watch and how it helped me go from starting with zero experience to becoming a seven-time half marathon runner.
