Apple Watch campaign highlights life-changing experiences

Apple and TBWAMedia Arts Lab – China have launched a campaign featuring the stories of three Apple Watch users who were saved by the device’s emergency features.

Apple’s Chinese website features a new “Thank God I Was Wearing It” section with quotes from three Apple Watch users, Me Junyan, Chen Huimin, and Yang Xiao, who share their stories about fall detection, collision detection, and heart rate alerts.

The “Thank God I Was Wearing It” campaign is named after “an emerging phrase that Apple Watch users themselves naturally use” after emergencies or health-related issues, according to TBWA. (I can relate.)

In addition, the campaign will feature a special episode of the podcast “You, Jingfu Comerai” (roughly translated to mean “restless”) hosted by Li Jing, “one of China’s most trusted interviewers and an Apple Watch user,” TBWA said.

In the hour-long episode, three users share their stories, including a life-saving emergency call after a serious car accident that left the user unconscious.

If you speak Chinese and would like to watch or listen to the entire episode, please click this link. Otherwise, you can check out the subtitled portion of the interview on TBWA’s website.
