Analyst Jeff Pu today released a new investor note detailing Apple’s new product launch schedule for next year.
In the note for investors, 9to5 macPhu said Apple plans to launch three new low-cost products in 2026: the iPhone 17e, a low-cost MacBook, and an updated base model iPad. These devices are expected to be launched in the middle of the first quarter of 2026, Pu reported.
The most interesting of these rumors is a low-cost MacBook. The product has been in development for years, and sources include Ming-Chi Kuo, digitimesand bloomberg Everything confirms its existence.
The cheaper MacBook will reportedly be equipped with the A18 Pro chip, the same processor found in the iPhone 16 Pro. Although many details about the product’s design are still unknown, Kuo said, “Possible casing colors include silver, blue, pink, and yellow.”
bloomberg It reports that the price will be “well under $1,000” and that it will use “less advanced components” than the rest of Apple’s Mac lineup. It will reportedly have a smaller display than the MacBook Air’s 13.6-inch screen.
The new entry-level iPad is likely to have improved specs. According to Pu, the iPhone 17e will be equipped with an A19 chip instead of the current A18 chip. It will also reportedly include an 18MP Center Stage selfie camera, up from the 12MP camera on the iPhone 16e.
In his investor note, Pu went on to further confirm Apple’s plan to launch the iPhone 18 lineup in two parts. In line with other sources, he expects the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Fold to be released in September 2026. iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 will follow in the first quarter of 2027.
