Apple is rumored to be releasing more new iPhones in 2027 than ever before, and a new post from leaker Digital Chat Station confirms that. This is what he says.
Here’s what you can expect from new iPhone models in 2027
This fall, Apple plans to launch a smaller-than-usual flagship iPhone lineup. Only three models are expected: iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra.
But by delaying the release of the base iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 to early 2027, Apple will soon have its biggest year for new iPhones yet.
Leaker Digital Chat Station has shared the complete list of 2027 iPhone models in a new Weibo post. The translated text is:
Apple’s 2027 product line:
iPhone Air 2 6.55 inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO OLED ✓
iPhone 18 6.3 inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO OLED ✓
iPhone 18e 6.12 inch 1.5K 60Hz LTPS OLED ✓iPhone 19 Pro series mold test completed ✓
Mold test for iPhone Ultra 2 Wide Foldable Screen ✓
Rumor has it that the first three models will go on sale in early 2027, likely by March at the latest. And the latter three will debut in September, featuring 20th anniversary designs for the Pro and Pro Max models.
The new post provides an update on the fall 2027 model, but also focuses on screen sizes and display technology for the early 2027 lineup.
The iPhone Air 2 and iPhone 18 are said to retain the same screen size and technology as their predecessors, which was already expected. But the iPhone 18e will reportedly do something similar, and most notably, this means there will be no ProMotion support.
The 6.12-inch screen size and 60Hz display remain unchanged from the iPhone 17e, but Apple may also switch from the current notch design to a dynamic island. However, due to the memory crisis, it would not be surprising if minimal changes were made to the iPhone 18e to prevent a significant price increase.
