If you don’t sleep well, your skin misses out on the healing it needs during deep sleep. Dr. Sharifa says, “About 50% of patients believe that stress is the main cause of their skin problems. By managing stress and slowing down the pace of life, you can create a better environment for your skin to thrive rather than suffer.”

Dr. Shaws says, “If you eat without being careful, you can be missing out on important nutrients, which can have negative effects on your skin. We spend a lot of time looking at screens in our digital lives. However, excessive screen time can accelerate aging. Blue light from mobile phones, tablets, and laptops can interfere with your skin’s natural processes and worsen pigmentation. You can reduce the negative effects on your skin by regularly stepping away from screens, using a blue light filter, and choosing products with antioxidants. Dr. Shaws emphasizes that “responsible screen time and good skin care can help keep your skin looking youthful.”
