Switchbot Hub 3 has a clever knob

The Switchbot, which has fame in bot fingers and auto curtain openings, is set to reveal the next generation of smart home hubs.

Homekit News has revealed a list from the unreleased Switchbot Hub 3 connection criteria Alliance.

The form factor packing the black gloss finish and tweech knobs is completely separate from previous Switchbot gateways such as the Hub 2 and Hub Mini.

The biggest new addition is undoubtedly that its knobs, front and centered.

According to the CSA list, Hub 3 operates both “media volume control” and “air conditioner control” and is compatible with Apple TV, Spotify and other streaming platforms.

There are also a few other buttons. Buttons with the Home button, Back button, On/Off toggle, and Switchbot S logo will probably be shortcuts to control preset automation.

Display Up Top appears to display temperature and humidity metrics. The list shows that this aspect integrates third-party weather forecasts.

The display also notifies you that “real-time door lock status updates” can be provided to ensure “security and constant awareness of reminders.”

The list also mentions “4 editable quick scene buttons on the homepage for one-touch activation of customized modes.”

In the image, they appear to be used for Home/Away and Night/Day modes.

Obviously, this appears on the CSA website, so the issue is certified and acts as a bridge for non-material devices, following the other Matter-compatible hubs on Switchbot.

There are no words yet about the price or launch date, but I will continue to post.

It’s been a busy few months for Switchbots. Smart Home specialists have recently unlocked the covers of a new technological fire in Vegas at CES 2025, including the Bonkers K20+ Pro Modular Robot, and have recently announced an air purifier that will double as a bedside table.

The brand’s adjustable smart blinds were also launched earlier this month.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
