Works with SmartThings Certification efforts
Samsung’s SmartThings allows Philips Hue products to be integrated into the Smart Home Ecosystem more than ever before.
Thanks to the enhanced partnership of the two biggest names in the world of Smart Home, an additional 155 hue devices have been certified as SmartThings (WWST) work, significantly increasing platform compatibility.
Now, of course, adding Hue Lights to your SmartThings system has always been very easy, but the important changes come from a similarity program from SmartThings certification that streamlines the process of certifying a brand’s processes like Philips Hue at once.
If you use SmartThings, this does not require a final adjustment. However, when using HUE products within a SmartThings system and using the SmartThings app, this means smoother integration, better device control, and fewer feature limitations.
It is also a smart business movement from two brands. Don’t be surprised to see Hue’s stuff advertised or sold through Smartthings apps and channels in the future, as you can team up on marketing campaigns and more.
SmartThings has really strengthened things over the past few years. The ecosystem has evolved beyond the once enthusiast platform, boasting a wider range of officially supported devices and a much more user-friendly software suite that includes map views on Samsung TV.
SmartThings is one of the easiest ways to connect matter, Z-Wave, Zigbee and even multiple smart home communication protocols that are much more supported.
And the Samsung-owned brand has already revealed plans for a next-generation smart home, with Smartthings Home AI being unveiled earlier this year.
