“Knife Edge: Chasing a Michelin Star” debuts on Apple TV+

The first two episodes of Apple’s new Gordon Ramsay-produced series are now available. Here’s what you need to know about this high-stakes cooking documentary.

“The human story behind the pursuit of perfection”

If you’ve ever seen The Bear or are just interested in the culinary world, you know this drill. Fine dining and high-stakes drama usually go hand in hand.

And while The Bear dramatizes the turmoil of fine dining, Apple has gone the documentary route with an eight-episode series that follows real restaurants, their chefs, and teams as they strive to earn (or keep) a coveted Michelin star.

Here’s what Apple looks like in the new show.

“Filmed in cities from Los Angeles to London and Mexico City to Copenhagen, each chef tries to earn a star or faces the devastating blow of losing it, as the Michelin Guide inspection team dines anonymously using false identities and phone numbers.”

Knife Edge: Chasing a Michelin Star, hosted by Top Joe’s Jesse Burgess, is now available on Apple TV+, with the first two episodes ready to stream.

The first episode, “Some would say he’s a genius,” tells the story of a New York fried chicken shop with big ambitions and a new restaurant in a subway station trying to impress a secret agent.

Meanwhile, the second episode, “Bleeding Cash,” takes viewers to Chicago. There, “a new Mexican-inspired opening needs a star to survive.”

Upcoming episodes will also include visits to Scandinavia, England, Mexico, Italy and California. New episodes are released every Friday. Check out the official trailer below.
