If you use a third-party sleep tracker on your Apple Watch, you’re probably familiar with the concept of sleep scores. This index combines signals such as heart rate variations and sleep stages to tell you how efficient your sleep is.
And the Apple Watch won native sleep tracking on the Watchos 7, but it lacks such a score. It won’t be long as it might turn out.
Third party favorites may come to your Apple Watch
discovered by Macle Tumorthe iOS 26 Health app has an unused illustration called “Watch Focus Score.” It features the Apple Watch along with multiple sleep-related symbols, including an alarm clock, a bed and a classic “Zzz” sleep iconography.
In the illustration, the Apple Watch displays three color segments that form a ring of colours that match the existing sleep stage UI. In the middle, the number 84 can represent a sleep score, usually in the range of 0-100.
As Apple has not announced or implied this feature, it is unclear whether this will become a first-party sleep score system or simply reflect data from third-party apps.

That said, Apple is heading for a wider range of index-based health features, such as the Vitals App (above), which combines ovulation estimates from the cycle tracking app and the heart rate, breathing rate, temperature and sleep data.
