Home assistants are important now

Home Assistant is now officially certified to issue and is 100% officially compatible.

Previously, the Home Assistant Matter feature was only available in beta, but the certification granted by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) makes Home Assistant an official member of the Matter Smart Home Club.

There are actually two parts to certification. The Home Assistant itself has become a certified “User Interface Component”, but Open Home Foundation Matter Server is certified as a “Software Component.”

The latter is actually the first open source project to achieve CSA certification.

For existing home assistant users, certifications actually do not change anything. Substance support continues to be updated and refined as new versions are deployed.

However, this recognition serves as a trust signal for new users and manufacturers, enhancing the home assistant as a trusted platform for material devices.

Certification should mean that more brands will take part in the work of the Home Assistant Program. The Home Assistant Program includes substance-enabled products such as the Aqara Smart Lock U200.

A free tool, Home Assistant, should only run basic PCs like Raspberry PI. Once installed, it can connect to hundreds of devices thanks to integration, providing one place to control everything in your home.

Additionally, it is HomeKit compatible, allowing you to control devices that are not normally supported through the Home app.
