Samsung is preparing to introduce Google Photos to its TV lineup, giving users a new way to relive their favorite memories on the biggest screen in the home.
The company says it will be the first TV brand to support Google Photos natively, with rollout expected to begin across the Samsung AI TV range from early 2026.
The idea is simple. Photos and memories, usually stored on your phone, are displayed directly on your TV, creating a kind of photo gallery in your living room.
By signing in with a Google Account, users will be able to view a larger, more cinematic collection of curated memories organized by people, places, and meaningful moments.
Samsung wants the experience to feel deeply integrated, not bolt-on. Google Photos content is expected to appear naturally within features like Daily+ and Daily Board, allowing users to view their personal memories throughout the day in a more contextual way without having to manually open a separate app each time.
The rollout will occur in stages. The first feature to arrive is called “Memories,” and is expected in early 2026 and will be available exclusively on Samsung TVs for six months.
Later this year, Samsung and Google plan to introduce more advanced tools, including an AI-powered creation feature that lets users apply theme templates, remix photo styles, and turn still images into short videos.
Roadmap also has a personalized results mode, which displays related photos as a slideshow based on topics like travel, hobbies, locations, and more.
For Samsung, this is another step towards making the TV a more personal part of the home, while Google Photos gets a new shared screen context beyond phones and tablets.
If things work as smoothly as promised, your TV could soon be used not only to stream shows but also as a window to your digital memories.
