The big Chromecast stop is still underway, but there are some fixes along the way.
It has words from the search giant on the issue, according to a report on the registry.
“We have begun to deploy fixes for issues with Chromecast (2nd Generation) and Chromecast audio devices, which we expect to complete in the next few days. Users will need to make sure their devices are connected to Wi-Fi and receive updates,” the spokesman said.
“We are still working to resolve issues that occurred for users who performed a factory reset during initial troubleshooting. Please continue to check this community page for updates and next steps.”
Earlier this week, reports emerged that older Chromecast models such as Chromecast (second generation) and Chromecast audio are currently facing a global outage.
It has been reported that these devices cannot cast either audio or video or are not accessible through the Google Home app.
The report suggests that certification issues are causing problems, with the latest firmware setting up the latest firmware and setting an expiration date of 2045 to move the device to a new Google-owned certificate authority.
Google is in touch Ambient And “Don’t reset your factory devices. We’ll update everything when the fix is rolled out. If you’ve already reset your factory devices, we’ll provide you with instructions to revert your device as quickly as possible.”
