Apple is publishing the second release candidate of Xcode 26.3 with agent coding features. Here are the details:
Xcode 26.3 gets second release candidate
Earlier this month, Apple announced that Xcode 26.3 will add agent coding capabilities and natively integrate with AI coding tools such as Anthropic’s Claude Agent and OpenAI’s Codex.
Apple published Xcode 26.3 Release Candidate 1 around the same time as RC versions for iOS 26.3, macOS 26.3, and other platforms. But when these operating systems were officially released on February 11th, Xcode 26.3 was noticeably missing.
Today, Apple released Xcode 26.3 Release Candidate 2. This indicates that the company feels it needs further tweaks before making the update officially available to developers.
Although the differences between Xcode 26.3 RC 1 and RC 2 are not immediately obvious, this additional release is notable, especially since Apple released the first beta version of Xcode 26.4 just a few days ago.
Regardless, Xcode 26.3’s agent coding integration has been well received by developers who have been using Xcode 26.3 since the first RC shipped. Since RC 2 is going live today, it’s natural to expect that the final release could arrive sometime next week (barring any new last-minute issues).
