Apple has launched a limited edition accessory for the iPhone called iPhone Pocket. A piece of 3D knit fabric is used to create a wearable pocket, reminiscent of modern iPod socks. The accessories were designed in collaboration with famous designer Issey Miyake. The Pocket is like a fancy version of the iPhone crossbody strap.
Unlike iPod Socks back in 2004, the iPhone Pocket isn’t cheap. Launching this Friday, the short-strap Pocket costs $149.95 and the long-strap design costs $229.95.
The pockets are made of stretchable cloth material and can store not only your iPhone but also everyday accessories. You can extend Pocket to get a glimpse of your iPhone’s screen without having to take it out completely.
The pocket can be attached to a handbag, worn over the shoulder, or hung on the wrist.
The accessory’s design was led by Apple in partnership with Issey Miyake Design Studio, the makers of Steve Jobs’ iconic turtleneck.

Apple says the iPhone Pocket launch is a limited edition release. It is unknown how much stock is left. It is also only available online in some regions. USA, UK, France, China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea. It will be displayed at some Apple Stores.
Short strap versions are available in lemon, mandarin, purple, pink, peacock, sapphire, cinnamon and black. The long version comes in sapphire, cinnamon and black.
Is this the first time the Apple Store has released a “limited time” accessory?
