
Apple TV+ has released The Lost Bus’ first teaser trailer, a survival thriller starring Matthew McConaughey (Interstellar, Dallas Buyers Club) and America Ferrera (Wecrashed, Barbie). The film is directed by Paul Greengrass (United 93, Captain Phillips). intense Teaser trailer below.
White knuckles pass through one of America’s deadliest wildfires
The Lost Bus is based on the real life story of a school bus driver and teacher who helped save a group of children from a devastating 2018 camp fire in California.
According to indiewireApple describes the film as “a white knuckle ride through one of America’s most deadly wildfires.”
The story is adopted from paradise. One town is Lisey Johnson, the project’s executive producer, to survive the American wildfire.
Paul Greengrass co-written the script with creator Brad Ingelsby (Mare of Easttown). “The Lost Bass is a story of a quiet heroism, about people gathering in the face of something unthinkable,” Greengrass said in a statement. “I am honored to have been entrusted with this story.”
The film is produced by Ingelsby, Gregory Goodman and Jason Blum, and also boards Jamie Lee Curtis (all at once) via a photo banner of her comet. After hearing Johnson’s story about NPR, it was Curtis who first brought the project to Blumhouse.
This shows that after a six-year break, McConaughey has returned to live action. Along with McConaughey and Ferrera, the cast includes Yul Vazquez (retired), Ashley Atkinson (Black Clanman) and Spencer Watson (them).
The Lost Bus will premiere this fall at selected theatres and Apple TV+.
