Philips Hue Secure Doorbell… leaked by Philips Hue

A few weeks ago, smart light specialist Philips Hugh reported that he was about to enter the smart video doorbell market.

And now we have further evidence that the Phillips Hugh Secure doorbell is hiding within the Hue app, supporting the rumors.

Yes, Phillips Hugh leaked his own device.

With the same hint as Fabian on Hueblog.com, Fabian on Hueblog.com noticed that version 5.38 of the Hue app has introduced a new QR scanner tool to add devices to your Hue system.

It looks like a long, thin video doorbell similar to the Eufy Video Doorbell E340 or Blink Video Doorbell.

According to Fabian, who has a solid track record for Hue Leaks, there has been no official announcements from Signify-owned brands yet, but there is a possibility that a secure doorbell will be released later this year.

Returning in August 2023 means a hue branching beyond smart lighting by firing a Philips Hue Secure camera, along with some of the Philips secure secure cameras and several contact sensors.

Adding a safe doorbell then makes sense. In other words, we continue to build a range of Smart Home Security products.

This Philips Hue Secure Doorbell is expected to seamlessly sync with the existing Hue ecosystem, provide features such as remote control via the Philips Hue app, and provide connections to other devices for triggered actions.

We will be paying attention to the official announcement from Signify. And we’ll get the news to you as soon as we know it.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
