Last week, Apple revealed that AI-Revamped Siri is facing delays, but now there are reports that this has a knock-on effect in smart homes.
Apple was a bit quieter with Smart Home Hardware Front. This is the latest HomePod launched in early 2023, and has not had a new Apple TV model for over two years, but last September, all of which have been set to change, with two new smart display devices set up in the pipeline.
But now, the same respected hints that spilled those beans have revealed details of the setback.
“The company was hoping to unveil the product in March, but the device has been postponed because it relies on some delayed SIRI features,” said Mark Garman of Bloomberg.
These Siri delays were detailed in detail by a bold Fireball by Apple spokeswoman Jacqueline Roy, in case they weren’t speeding up with the latest news from Apple Park.
“Siri helps users find what they need and get things done quickly. Over the past six months, we’ve made Siri more conversational, introduced new features like Siri and product knowledge, and added integration with ChatGpt. We’re also working on more personalized Siri, and are more aware of your personal context and the ability to take action for you within and across the app. We expect to deliver these features to take longer than we thought we would, and we expect to roll them out next year.”
No delays have been confirmed on Smart Home Front, but Gurman has previously reported on wall-mounted home hubs like the Apple Flovored Echo Hub.
Apple’s new Smart Home Hub is said to boast AI intelligence and is argued to be a top priority for CEO Tim Cook as CEO Tim Cook is trying to keep up with Google, particularly Amazon, which stole the march in regards to smart home control.
Of course, Siri is on hand for voice control. So, you should be able to control all HomeKit connected devices by tapping the Delay-Voice Command or Display.
Garman also mentioned that a more expensive version would go down the line, and the codename J595 is said to be a high-end smart display with robotic limbs, mixing the iPad’s features with a futuristic twist.
Amazon recently stole an Ai-Superathed version of Alexa, called Alexa+, as it recently removed the cover of the AI-Superathed version of Alexa if these reports sounded True.
