Victrola’s Sonos-friendly turntables are still even smarter

The Victrola stream turntable line, which already features Sonos Smarts, has received a major boost thanks to software updates.

The stream turntable with Sonos Integration built into can now be paired and streamed with Bluetooth audio devices, such as speakers, headphones, and smart speakers such as Amazon Echo.

This update means that users can use Wi-Fi to stream to UPNP compatible network music streamers, endpoints, or integrated amplifiers, such as those offered by Sonos Alternative Wiim.

The flagship of the stream collection, $1,300 Stream Sapphire – is also ROON compatible and can be streamed to compatible devices via AirPlay and Google Cast.

The good news for those who have already purchased stream turntables is that this is not a hardware-only update. The new features are available on all stream models (Stream Carbon, Stream Onix, Stream Pearl, Stream Sapphire) via software updates for currently deployed aircraft.

The turntable Streamline is the first record player certified by Sonos, allowing Vinyl Lovers to stream your favorite records directly to Sonos speakers beyond Wi-Fi without having to connect to the mix to Sonos Amp, Port or Connect.
