New AppleCare+ Mac and iPad plans are increasing in price

as bloomberg Apple has reportedly increased monthly and annual AppleCare+ prices for new Mac and iPad customers. Here are the details:

AppleCare+ raises prices for new iPads and Macs

AppleCare+ is Apple’s extended warranty and device protection service. We offer additional hardware warranty, technical support, and repair for accidental damage.

As discovered today, bloombergApple has increased the price of AppleCare+ for Macs and iPads by 50 cents per month and $5 per year.

Please note that the new price only affects new signups for Mac and iPad. Current customers will continue to pay the old prices, at least for the time being.

AppleCare One, the multi-device protection plan that Apple launched last year, does not appear to be affected by the changes.
