This week, Apple TV is premiering one of the year’s most-watched shows, Cape Fear. The story centers on a lawyer couple who are horrified that the murderer they imprisoned has been released and wants revenge.
Cape Fear debuts This Friday, June 5th There will be two episodes and will be released weekly thereafter until July 31st.
The show is executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg and stars Javier Bardem, Amy Adams, and Patrick Wilson.
Based on initial reviews, the Cape Fear appears to offer a very enjoyable ride. Below are some excerpts.

Critics have widely praised Javier Bardem’s strong performance, which anchors the series. The Wrap “Javier Bardem plays Kady with mad perfection, coming so fast and furious with this series that his presence is felt even when he’s not near the frame.”
The reviewer’s main complaint is that the episodes are 10 hours long, which makes the series feel longer than it needs to be. However hollywood reporter Cape Fear, he concedes, “might be one of those shows that benefits from weekly viewing rather than the obsessiveness of critics.”
