Dyson has unveiled one of its most futuristic products yet. A new purifying fan that literally follows you around the room.
The new Dyson Find+Follow Purifier Cool combines cooling, air purification and AI tracking in one device.
This device is designed to direct airflow exactly where you need it. Instead of manually repositioning fans or adjusting vibration settings, the machine automatically detects your location. As you move, purified air is redirected towards you.
Dyson says the system uses an air projection technology called “Find+Follow.” It works in conjunction with an AI vision system that can track movement through 17 key body points. Importantly, Dyson said, fans recognize patterns of movement rather than individual identities. The device processes all image processing locally rather than uploading it to the cloud.
The concept is simple, but it’s really useful in practice. Whether you’re cooking in the kitchen, exercising, or moving from one part of the room to another, the fan automatically adjusts airflow to keep you cool and comfortable. Additionally, it can detect multiple people at the same time and split the airflow between them. This also means you don’t waste power cooling empty spaces.
Smarter airflow management also leads to energy efficiency. If no one is present, the fan will automatically pause the desired airflow. This can reduce unnecessary power consumption compared to traditional oscillating fans that continuously cool the entire room.
AI tricks aside, this is still a very premium Dyson purifier. This machine uses a fully sealed HEPA H13 filtration system with K-Carbon filtration designed to capture gases, odors, VOCs, and ultrafine particles as small as 0.3 microns. Dyson also says it can capture 50% more NO₂ compared to previous filtration systems.
This purifier continuously monitors PM2.5, PM10, VOC, NO₂, and formaldehyde levels in real time. Meanwhile, a quieter night mode dims the display and reduces noise output for bedroom use.
Like recent Dyson products, this fan also connects to the MyDyson app for remote control and air quality monitoring.
The Dyson Find+Follow Purifier Cool is available in the US for $894.99.
