Apple Intelligence is rumored to be releasing Apple TV 4K next, and new Netflix features show it’s possible
Apple has long been rumored to be preparing new Apple TV 4K hardware. Originally scheduled for late 2025, Siri’s AI upgrade has reportedly been delayed until it arrives in iOS 27 this fall.
One of the expected upgrades in Apple TV 4K is a more powerful chip that will enable support for Apple Intelligence.
Apple Intelligence is currently available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro, but not on Apple TV 4K.

Netflix is testing AI-powered voice search feature
Janko Roettgers is one of the few Netflix users who currently has proactive access to AI-powered voice search.
And after early testing, he called it “amazing.” Mr. Rotgers writes: The Verge:
After playing around with the feature for a few days, I was impressed with its ability to find options related to a variety of requests, even the most obvious ones (like “’80s date night movies”). I tested this feature under more load than people would use on a daily basis, and was able to make solid recommendations in response to unusual requests. If Apple’s new Siri in iOS 27 can bring similar smarts to Apple TV 4K and tvOS 27, it would be a significant upgrade over its current search capabilities.
And the Apple TV app’s integration with third-party streaming services could make its version of Siri even better than Netflix, as it extends beyond Apple TV content to HBO Max, Disney+, Peacock, and more.
