Alongside the new AirTags, Apple also announced new Black Unity Apple Watch bands this morning. The Apple Watch Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop commemorates Black History Month and “celebrates the power of connection.”
Apple says it is “proud to support organizations that inspire connection and foster creativity through impactful programs in under-resourced communities around the world.”
The band, like the previously released Black Unity band, was designed by Apple’s Black creators and their collaborators. Featuring the colors of the Pan-African flag, the Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop is created by weaving filaments of recycled polyester yarn around ultra-fine silicone threads using advanced precision braiding machinery. It has a soft texture and is resistant to sweat and water. If you look closely, the band reveals multiple shades of red, green, and black, adding depth and vibrancy.
The new black Unity Apple Watch Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop is available to order today and will be in Apple Stores later this week. The price is $99. Available in case sizes 42mm and 46mm and band sizes 0-12, it is compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 and later, Apple Watch SE, and all Apple Watch Ultra models.
