Apple TV’s popular neo-noir detective series Sugar is returning for Season 2 this year, with Colin Farrell returning to the role. Here is the release date announced earlier.

Apple TV is known for sci-fi shows like “Severance” and “Pluribus,” comedies like “Ted Lasso” and “Shrinking,” and has recently expanded into thriller shows like “Hijacking.”
But one of the more unique Apple series is a detective show called Sugar.
Sugar, starring Colin Farrell as a Los Angeles-based private investigator, harks back to the classic noir genre, but with a big twist that obscures genre issues.
The first season of Sugar will air in the spring of 2024, and now Apple has announced the release date for season 2.

Emmy nominee Colin Farrell returns to the new case as he tracks down the troubled brother of an up-and-coming local boxer as the search for his beloved missing sister continues. As the investigation expands into a city-wide conspiracy with sinister intentions, Sugar must confront herself and answer the question: How far will she go to do the right thing?
Season 1 was showrun by series creator Mark Protosevich. However, Sam Catlin took over as showrunner for season two. He also participated in Season 1, and his previous works include “Breaking Bad” and “Preacher.”
