Updated September 30, 2025: As promised by B&H, the LG Ultrafine 32U990A is now available for pre-order. Retailers cite the estimated shipping date for October 20th.
Back in January, LG attracted the attention of Mac users by using Thunderbolt 5 to bully the new Ultrafine 6K display. However, the company was extremely nervous about the display details, including pricing and availability.
If you believe the new product list from B&H, the highly anticipated LG Ultrafine 32U990A can be pre-ordered for tomorrow for $1,999.99. However, the LG website suggests that pre-orders will begin on October 10th. However, there may always be a period of exclusivity for B&H sales.
Below are some of the highlights from the product list for the LG Ultrafine 32U990A:

- 450 nits brightness, 600 nits brightness in HDR
- 2000:1 contrast ratio
- 98% DCI-P3 and 99.5 Adobe RGB Coverage
- Integrated USB-C hub & KVM
- 1x display port
- 1x hdmi
- 2x USB-C (Thunderbolt 5) with USB PD 140 W lol
- 3x USB-C
Its resolution matches Apple’s Pro Display XDR, at 218 pixels per inch. Apple released the Pro Display XDR in 2019 and continues to sell for $4,999 (or $5,999 if you want a stand). Like the Pro Display XDR, the LG Ultrafine 32U990A does not even have a built-in speaker or webcam.
However, the Pro Display XDR has a higher brightness in both normal use (1,000 knit) and HDR mode (1,600 knit).
When it comes to design, the LG Ultrafine 32U990A has many similarities to Apple’s Pro Display XDR, at least when it comes to the appearance of the photo. The ju umpire is still coming out about the overall build quality, but this was a big issue with the LG Ultrafine 5K. However, according to the images, it comes with a full height, tilt and rotation adjustable stand.
meanwhile, Bloomberg Recently, Apple reported that it is “close to mass production” with two new Mac monitors. It is still unclear how these are compared against existing Pro Display XDR and Studio displays.
For the time being, we will book skepticism about this information. As it is now, LG has not announced anything about the launch plan for the Ultrafine 6K if this B&H list is correct, but the Ultrafine 6K looks surprisingly appealing. What do you think? Please let us know in the comments.
