Apple TV+ announces new crime thriller from blacklist creators

Apple TV+ has a big fall lineup, including the return of one of the best shows next week. Over the next few weeks, Apple TV+ will have debuted several brand new crime thriller series, one of which, the final frontier, has got its first trailer.

If you’re a fan of crime thrillers, Apple TV+ is offering many new products soon, including next week’s Jessica Chastain’s The Savant and Cemetery Roads from the author of next month’s Slow Horse. Between the two series there is the final frontier.

The final frontier Premiere on Friday, October 10th The first two episodes on Apple TV+ will be released weekly until December 5th.

The original series comes from co-creators Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio. Bokenkamp is best known for creating the hit NBC show The BlackList starring James Spader.

Here is the official summary of Apple’s new series:

“The Last Frontier” follows Frank Remnick (Clark), the only US former S., in charge of Alaska’s quiet and sturdy Valens. Remnick’s jurisdiction is upside down when prison transports crash in the far wilderness and set up dozens of violent prisoners. He is tasked with protecting the town he has vowed to be safe, and he begins to suspect that the crash fall was not an accident, but the first step in a skilled plan with widespread and devastating significance.

Today, Apple released a trailer for The Last Frontier. This reveals many plots and mysteries surrounding the crash of the plane and the importance of Jason Clark’s character at its core.

As someone who enjoyed watching the blacklist, the final Frontier appears to offer many similar elements to its popular series. A focus on criminals and law enforcement can prove an equally fun watch when combined with the plot that is always throwing new reveals at you.
