Satechi’s latest SSD enclosure, the USB4 SLIM NVME SSD enclosure, is specially styled to create the best additions for your MAC MINI, but you can add up to 8TB of SSD storage to any MAC. Now you can save $20 and pick one for $99.
The company says the design is now inspired by high altitude storage: Apple USB SuperDrive, now Discontin’s external CD and DVD drive…
This is what the company has to say about it:
Utilizing Blazing-Fast Transfer speed USB4 technology up to 40gbps (3840MB/s), this sophisticated, high-performance enclosure is inspired by the Apple USB SuperDrive. It supports multiple SSD sizes including 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280.
We offer a cost-effective alternative to expensive internal upgrades, perfect for professionals with large video projects, high-resolution photo libraries, or extensive gaming collections. Instead of being limited by embedded storage, users can replace SSDs when needed to ensure future solutions for their workflows.
Satechi wanted the unit to be as slim as possible, which brought some limitations. There is not enough space for people with double-sided SSD cards or heat sinks. It is also not compatible with SATA M.2 SSDs. However, it should work for most of the 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 cards.
The enclosure is $119.99 cyberstorehut Readers can now save $20 by using the discount code Limited20 at checkout.
Adding storage will range in prices from under $70 to $600, depending on both physical size and capacity. Compatible SSDs range from 1TB 2230 cards to 8TB 2280 cards.
